Truth be told, the reason I did this was because the case I had didn't have hinges, I swapped them out to my black case, but then I ended up destroying the back case anyway because I copulate up the top half of the screen... irony!BlackWaterOp wrote:Very nice EtH, That is a good mod for people whose hinges broke.

Neither did the original DS.. DS lite does though, and I'll probably use this more..Gamelver wrote:Looking pretty nice so far .
though it may be thinner, it doesn't look like it'll fit in a pocket now....
I might use this one for a DS Robot in the end.

Because of the stylus holder, the battery compartment turned out wonky... no big deal though. I didn't use the fibreglassed piece in the end.. That fell to crap, i really could have done with a flat surface to create that with, it ended up being too much work. This week I'll: 1. Fit the internals an...

Technically it is larger than the original DS because the screen portion is thinner on the original while the entire thing is base-thickness on your case. The edges are thinner, that makes up for the added size down the middle, where you say "the entire thing is base-thickness", which is BS. It's h...

Just got a major update... I've spent the past few weeks sanding and filling and sanding and filling, and I was nearly ready... I couldn't fix the crack by the screen hole, and it was pissing me off.. After fitting the parts, I couldn't get the screen to fit with the screen controller and this cause...

I've nearly finished painting mine.. I've just got to do a bit of sanding, and some detailing. Edit: Nearly finished.. had to sand the details and just got to spray it again tomorrow and fit everything and see how it all goes. The screw I used for the case are crap, I'll have to replace them. It's a...

Build one... It's significantly cheaper than buying one.. Trust me! You could build an entire MAME cabinate with built in screen and joypad for around $300, complete with acrylic header cathode backlight, and vinyl prints for authenticity. yeah you forgot about the computer price. if you didnt plea...

Disaster struck mine.. I got too impatient to dry the bondo, so I used a heat gun on low to help dry it faster.. Unknownst to me, the button holes started warping, and now the start and select buttons dont fit.. So I'm going to have to drill them out now, and it's going to look horrible. Lesson to b...
