Re: Quetzalcoatlus's 2nd NESp
The screen is a rather old pocket TV I got at a flea market for $3. It's pretty bad, but it works and the price was right.

Quetzalcoatlus's 2nd NESp
I just finished my 2nd NESp today, it's substantially larger than my first because it uses an original NES instead of an NOAC. I've had it laying around mostly finished for months, but didn't get a battery for it until a few days ago. I added a few features that weren't in my first, such as 1st and ...

Re: Finish your flippin' projects!
NESp #2/clear NESp: I had started making a second NESp a while ago, but abandoned it because I didn't like the case. I took the Zenith screen from it for use with an SNESp and decided to combine the rest of the parts with a low-quality pocket TV I got for $3 and a random clear plastic case I had to...

Re: Wtf?
I'm pretty sure that's a re-release from later in the Genesis's lifespan, like "Greatest Hits" versions of games for PS1/PS2. I don't think the actual game is changed at all.

Here are some things I learned while making my NOACp: -Make sure the parts will fit properly in the case. I ended up having to make the case around 1/2" thicker because the parts didn't fit in the configuration I had originally planned. -Try to keep the wires inside at least somewhat organized. It m...

If you have one of the later original SNES's, it should have a motherboard that's not all that much larger than that of the SNES mini. You can tell if it's one of the later ones by looking at the eject panel; the earlier ones have "eject" printed on in white, whereas the later ones have it molded in...

As lovablechevy said, you need two old 5 1/4 inch connectors, not 3 1/2 inch ones. You need to get rid of half of the plastic on one side of each of them and get rid of this plastic thing that prevents you from inserting an edge connector the wrong way. Then you need to glue them together so they lo...

I'm working on: 1) a second NOACp using a Super Joy 3 I got at a flea market for $10 and a pocket TV I got at the same flea market for $3. Unfortunately, the pocket TV is kind of large and apparently only accepts RF, but I can't really complain considering the price. 2) an NESp using an original NES...
