Indeed , the hinge is the part i'm dreading the most so i'm not gonna try anything clever until I know I can do it. Also , I had an idea about using a power button under neath the screen . I was gonna put the original nes reset button under the closed screen , so when the screen is closed , it's off...

Since i got my nes working again , i've started a new case , here's some mock up pictures because the case i have now isn't worthy of a photo .

Well , as the book said , I hooked up the NES to batteries before proceeding into the actual project, But I am having massive problems with it. I attached the 7805 regulator to the board where the RF box used to be then I soldered the middle lead of the regulator to the metal on the NES board, then ...

Transferable knowledge?
Well , i recently ordered the book from WHSmith , and i'm going to pick it up tommorow.
But my question is , is the knowledge in the book transferable for use with other projects , eg. A portable PS2?
