Re: Sega Megadrive Model II portable - project worklog
No updates yet. Going home next weekend to get all the stuff though. So the project will be up and running next week. Got the right charger today, but I have one question. My battery-pack have 6 cells, and its rated at 7.2V. I can set the charger to 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 10 cells. But on the back it s...

Internetspeed and cost. What do you have?
Sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find any similar thread. If there is, a mod can remove this thread. I've been wondering what kind of connection all you people are using. It kind of startled me when I first found this site that *56k WARNING" seemed obligatory when posting larger ...

Re: Hi im new here and need advice
I've just solid core wire from network cables, but they are kind of hard to work with.
I think that ben suggests threaded wire from IDE cables.

Re: Sega Megadrive Model II portable - project worklog
bought a battery and a charger now. Ended up with a NiMh pack. Mainly because I couldn't get my hands on a cheap NiCd pack http://www.kjell.com/content/templates/popups/shop_item_print.aspx?item=44135" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.kjell.com/content/templates/popups/shop_i...

That one is for Li-ion and Li-Po batteries. Can't find an equalivant for NiMh's. Is it needed for NiHms?

Re: Sega Megadrive Model II portable - project worklog
Ahh, ok. I thought that the plug on the battery was a male.
But would it work if hacked em up? And used some plugs that match? It wouldn't like burn up or something because of overcharging?
thanks for the help argelfraster

Re: Sega Megadrive Model II portable - project worklog
Been looking at some batteries from kjell.com (Swedish electronic store). I don't quite understand how you charge different types of batteries. The once I've been looking at are: 7.2v NiMH RC-acc It's a six-cell construction http://www.kjell.com/content/templates/popups/shop_item_print.aspx?item=425...

Re: Do we have room for another N64P? (t64 WIP)
Awww, I've just spent + 1 hour reading the whole thread. Was hoping that it would be up and running by page 19! :P It was one hour well spent though! My electronic skills are nothing compared to your, but still, if you can do this, I have to be able to do my genesis portable I'm working on! Really i...

Sega Megadrive Model II portable - project worklog
Hi! I'm posting now without that much to say really. But I look at this as the first step in the project, if I get you guys excited I have one more reason to finish this project :P I don't have that much experience with this kind of work. All I've done is NTSC/PAL, 50Hz/60Hz and overclocking mods to...

Removing logo from a controller.
I'm in the planning stages of a genesis portable. And I'm going to put the top part of a Honeybee 6 button controller on the case. I'm not very keen on 'Honey Bee' logo though. Is there any way of removing the paint or is it like fused with the plastic? Tried rubbing it with alcohol but it didn't do...

mega drive model 1 and 32x RGB problems
I bought a 32x without the hookups (i know, bad idea, but it was cheep) and im trying to make my own coords. Cant get them to work properly though. When i try to play Doom32, the menus are fine, but the game itself is out of sync. Overall the screen is a bit to red and dark. The screen flickers a bi...
