Re: Noob help for n64p
Well there is a sticky of a full n64p wiring diagram on this forum so wiring the portable shouldn't be a problem. The only things I can think of off the top of my head are; 1. (If you do decide to relocate the cartridge slot) make sure that you skip those two pins on the n64 board that aren't on the...

Re: Grape64 worklog
well thanks and in response to your question, i say do a rumble pack....give it good justice! Well I guess it all depends on how much room I end up having when I'm nearing completion. I've got some smaller gamecube rumble motors I could use to save some room... If I do include it I'll definitely in...

Re: Grape64 worklog
Interesting design, does the audio amp that you are using have solder pads for volume + and - because when I looked it up on google it seems not to have any volume control and uses the volume control from the mp3 player instead.

Re: PSone screen problem
I would say that the ribbon cable isn't making very good contact because the screen would turn funny colors but since your not getting any picture at all, all I can think of is to take the screen apart and clean if from all dust and what not and make sure that all your connections are solid. Otherwi...

Re: Super duper parts list
Well that would be an extreamly long list and I'm sure that it's available somewhere but I'll get the ball rolling with some basics. 1. Some sort of screen (psone screen is most popular because it comes with speakers) 2. A controller (third party if you want to switch out the analog for something th...

Re: Nintendo 64 Portable wiring help
If you want batteries that last longer you could go with what hailrazor posted with the protection circuit but if your nervous about that then I suggest this battery http://www.batteryspace.com/polymerli-ionbattery74v5000mah37wh7aratewithpcbandpolyswitch.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return ...

Re: N64 case modifications
You could try the NES mod (just taking an n64 and puting it in an NES case). Although this might not be what you want to do because then all the current work you've done on you case would be all for not. Maybe adding in s-video (you can buy a special cord with an s-video end to it but if you really ...

Re: what do i need to make a N64 portable?
you will need: an n64 (obviously) a psone screen (or any other screen with composite imput I recommend the psone screen because it comes with speakers) some 7.4v batteries with atleast 4000mah a controller (third party if you want a decent analog stick) a case (I recommend the zn-45 from polycase.co...

Re: Nintendo 64 Portable wiring help
If your talking about the regulator that drops the voltage down to the 3.3v then yea you absolutely need it. Those batteries will work fine but you won't get much game time out of them.

Re: idea for adding bots to a non-bot n64 game....
Its a creative idea but to program a bot to work through the n64 controller and the bot would work for just one game really isn't worth the headaches the undoubtably follow. Plus just about every multi-player game has a fuction built in to have a cpu working on or against your team.
