Re: One handed controller for disabled son

Yeah, it's a mod, shove N64 controller guts into a Nunchuck. Considering sdh could barely fit NES controller guts in a Nunchuck, it would probably be pretty close to impossible.

My idea involves a larger controller section. You have a lot of choices, go with the one you think is best.

No suggestions, sorry, but those music boxes are really cool! Pretty much useless, but really cool.

Oh, you're trying to power lights? I was assuming you wanted 3.3V for your N64p. I don't know where that came from...

Re: wii intec 7 inch screen av and voltage question

1. Is it a V1 or V2? The V1 has inputs, no problem, but the V2 does not. It's fairly easy to mod though, I did it quite quickly. Open it up and remove the AV port board, then wire it to your own jacks. The pinout is labeled but the wire colors are odd. V1/V2: http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php...

Re: One handed controller for disabled son

Hmmm, I was thinking of something a little different. A standard thumbstick for the left thumb. Then, A, B and maybe Z and R buttons pressed by the fingers. Finally, a d-pad on the bottom that can be pressed against the knee and used as the d-pad or C buttons. There's many approaches to this, mine i...

Re: Battery life and stat conversion

Yeah, I don't think that will work. The stock charger is fine, just use a switch. Like I said, use a voltage regulator to get 3V.

Re: My V-game sale/trade

Gah, I sold my Pokemon Yellow cart to a friend. He has a Silver and a Blue cart to. I'm stuck with Sapphire and Crystal. Crystal has sentimental value as it was my first Pokemon game. I miss my Yellow cart now.

Re: NES CART Idea

You could buy an expensive mini-ITX setup, which was once the only way to do it, but you don't have to anymore. Nowadays you can just buy a nettop, preferably an ION one. Nettops are great for modders because they are small and cheap so you can stick them in anything.

Re: NeoGeo into maybe a portable

With a converter it can take AES games. Which is kind of pointless because AES games are a lot more expensive. In fact some people use MVS converters on their AES because the arcade carts are A LOT cheaper, especially on games like Metal Slug, which can go for thousands of dollars for an AES cart b...

Well, you could switch in the old style boards, but that would be pretty pointless.

Re: One handed controller for disabled son

It's not that difficult a mod, you could probably do it yourself! If not there are plenty of people here that would be willing to do it. Of course it won't be free but you'd be surprised how cheap some of us work!

Re: 3rd party psone screen

It's not ideal but it should work. And yes, if it connects to your PSone it will work. Open it up, you will have to figure out how the PSone is connected and figure out how to connect your console.

Re: Battery life and stat conversion

 First, if you connect your 3V-requiring device straight to your battery you will fry it. You need a voltage regulator. Preferably a switching voltage regulator; WAY more efficient. A lot of people use the TI PTH08080 or PTH08000. I'm using the PTH08080 in my N64 project. Second, to charge...
