Re: Genesis 3p Buildog BOOM!

I haven't given up, exactly, but parts are too friggen expensive, and I screwed up trying to relocate me cartridge slot. So you know what? I'm going to solder the pins of the only game I own into the cartridge connector. On the bright side, my portable will be super thin without a cartridge ...

Oh, okay. I was trying to find something that wasn't a dvd player, but those usually cost a bit.

How to charge this lithium ion battery?

I have never seen a battery like this: http://rsk.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pRS1C-3707320w345.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I know one end is positive and the other is negative, but how to you charge it? Don't lithium ion batteries usually have three places for the char...

Re: What's Going on Here?

I think all comments just fuel the fire.... Let's all just drop it, get together and fry some motherboards and somewhere around a million dollars worth of electronics!

Re: Xbox360 Question.

Is it... bad to breathe in the fumes from melting plastic? I've been melting apart cases and merging plastic together indoors for months now, and breathing it all in. I'm not gonna die now, am I? Hmmm... this could explain all the odd bumps that I have on my thumbs...

Re: Can the disk drive be removrd from the Xbox?

Thats right, I forgot. My hard drive was on the compatability chart, but it only worked for the ones who chipped there xboxes. Mine didn't have the unlocking function. Okay, two times wrong, third's a charm.

Re: Can the disk drive be removrd from the Xbox?

No offense Zenturi, but I don't understand what you are trying to say. If you use just the dvd board you can still upgrade your hard drive. Second, there are numerous tutorials floating around on how to flash your TSOP, and you do not need to build your own bios. Just download it from xbins. No, wh...

Re: What's Going on Here?

eurddrue has done some pretty crappy things, like once a new member joined, and before that member did anything, eurddrue called him a spammer. Not to take sides, but it is the internet. If someone makes fun of you on the internet, big deal, it's not like ruining your reputation with people you ass...

Re: What's Going on Here?

Thanks everyone, I understand the situation better now. For now, I'll just stay on the Benheck forums and hone my modding skills. Maybe someday I'll join some other forums too. Let's hope none of the existing forums become like AcidMods  . [shudder/] or Gamefaqs. I joined modretro because it'l...

Wooden Vac-formed case?

I was thinking it might look nice, with the right stuff. I think it would look epic, but since I'm not so experienced with vac-forming, I would appreciate some input. What I'm wondering is, can I build a case out of wood, stain it, then vac-form thin plexiglass OVER it? So I could have a dark wooden...

Re: Custom Gamecube Regulator! Correct Gamecube Draw!!!!

So unless you're just trying to use some random rechargables you have lying around, then I guess it's better to just get some good 14.8v lipos.
From anyone's experience, which is better? More voltage > Less Amps or Lower Volatage < More Amps?

Re: SNES Power -up problem

Maybe the draw from the SNES and psone screen combined is too much for the onboard screen's 7805 to handle. Maybe split your power source two ways, with the power running to the screen, then running another set of wires from the battery to a seperate 7805 for the SNES alone. Like this: Psone screen ...

Re: Can the disk drive be removrd from the Xbox?

if you have a soft mod you can reduce space by only remove all parts from the dvd-room and just place the dvd-room motherboard, just short the connectors that detect the drive as close. Yeah, but then you're limited to using just a 5 or 10 gb stock hard drive for space. I haven't seen any recent gu...

Like I said, my reception is great when I finally get it. After startup, I almost always have full bars.
