No, it turns on with the system. I've been working on better cooling for my xbox, and whenever I turn my system on, it automatically kicks on.

Re: Genesis 3p Buildog BOOM! noqw with pics! :)
Well, I tried cutting the motherboard down a bit, and I believe my genesis is now done for. I wired up composite, wired the 7805 to the genesis, shared a 9v battery between them. No picture. Re: What's happening to my discs?!
I vaguely remember that some of the older 360's had bad drives, I think they were samsung...?
They would scratch up your discs over time. Check your other games to make sure that they aren't damaged. If they aren't, then maybe your console got moved while the game was playing.

Re: xbox360 laptop questions
The bigger your screen, the more room you have to work with on the bottom half. Probably don't want to go too much bigger than a 17" monitor though, a 19" maybe, or it will be too big to move.

Sometimes you can judge a movie on it's trailer, like Dragon Ball: Evoultion. It ruined everything my favorite childhood anime!

Awesome... seeing all these n64s makes me really want to rip one apart. How do you have the l/r/z buttons set up? I'm starting to want to do one of these systems, I've never owned one.

Re: Genesis 3p Buildog BOOM! noqw with pics! :)
Thanks! Have no monies right now, and got rid of my nes stuff a while back... still miss it. The wire is just some 24 gauge speaker wire. It's usually too thick, but it worked good for this. I already desoldered the game, though, just needed to test and make sure everything was working. I'm going to...

Re: Radio Shack is dead. Long live "The Shack"?...
I just visited Radioshack an hour ago, and they said that they would still be offering electronic parts when they change to "The Shack." I hope mine is right, otherwise a 20 minute drive each time I need a part.

I was using my soldering iron to melt it. There were more fumes than from when I actually solder!

Finally got some pics! I flattened my capacitors, and removed a controller port. All other ports and switches have been desoldered. http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu90/zeturi/P1010103.jpg http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu90/zeturi/P1010102.jpg http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu9...
