Re: Powering a ps2 slim off 7.4v batteries (step up regulator?)

If that ever failz, you could always use a switching regulator to lower the voltage to 5v, and then wire a step up regulator to raise it to 8.5v. :P

Re: What all for N64p -

You only need to use two 3.7v li-po batteries in a series to get 7.4v. The great thing is, the n64 can use this instead of the normal 12v. The psone screen can accept 7.4v, as well. The only thing you'll need is a regulator for the 3.3v line, which is the pth08000. You'll need some stuff for casing,...

You could try finding a Tremor Pak plus. It's a rumble pak with a memory card slot built in one. There's a switch to... well... switch between the two.

Re: Items to avoid using, and alternative products

Why only ps1 lcds? There aren't a ton of Gamecube zenith screens left any more, either. If you want to keep these systems safe from modding hands, then simply grab one of each and collect them. Not to mention, by the time these systems are gone (and I mean completely run out) there will most likely ...

Long as it holds, awesome. Which kind? The stuff that takes a day to set, or the 30-second stuff?

Re: Hailrazer's 2nd N64 - The Kamikaze64

Looks like the ram sinks will work out well, then. I think I will try them when I resume my n64 portable. What are you using to hold them on? I used hot glue. (Noobish, but it kept the system cool enough and I though it looked cool.)

How to access the old 404 links

It sucks being a noob and not being able to use the stickies. A bunch of links from about 3-4 years ago don't work, and only lead to a 404 error. Since we all know how much time it would take to fix all the existing links, I'll show you how to get to those 404'd threads. Here is 404'd thread: http:/...

Re: Battery help aus noob

If you are using a NTSC console, which has the same draw as Mario's try using a battery, use with about 5000mah. That should be able to power your n64 and a screen for about 3 hours.

Re: My Handheld Dreamcast

Techknott is awesome at portablizing, but I'm beginning to believe that he gets nervous in the final stages, so never actually finishes these masterpieces. Or maybe he did finish, and has been playing quake nonstop since completion.

Re: Battery help aus noob

So you're saying that your pal board using the same screen as an ntsc draws only half the amperage?

I think you may only be measuring the 12v line. Are you using a multimeter to measure your amperage, or going by your battery rating?

Re: Battery help aus noob

I don't think so, blaze. http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=25867&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Scroll down to n64, with an led modded psone screen it'll last only 2.5 hours with a 5.5 amp battery. If you want 3 hours of battery life, then get a battery with 6.5 ...
