Re: GAMECUBE MOBO to DD MOBO soldering pinouts help.
Yeah, I did this yesterday. It's really tough, but not impossible. The mobo's even lists their pinouts 1-32 on the sides of where the connectors used to be.

Re: Portable-making contest again?
Just make a reasonable due date, like some people say the end of July, and if enough people (say 10) still need time then make an extension. Most of us will take that long, I think.

Re: Gamecube Portable
Ok, for future reference test before you pour hotglue on  It sucks when you have to tear it all off because you screwed it up because when you tear off all of the hot glue, half of the wires rip off too. :x Yeah, I know. But I was too afraid to move the boards anymore before I put the hot glu...

Re: Gamecube Portable
Okay... I had a lot of trouble today. The wire that I used to wire the dvd pcb to the gube's mobo was getting to hard to work with. So... I desoldering all 16 wires, then switched to another thinner wire. It took me about 5 hours altogether, but I finally wired it all up! :D http://i636.photobucket....

Re: Gamecube Portable
I finally realized why I was having trouble with rewiring the cube's dd. The wire was too thick, so I switched out to the thinest wire I have. I'll have it wired to the dd's mobo by this time tomorrow, hopefully.

Re: HELP!! PROBLEMS WITH MAH SCREEN. cant take 60hz
You should be able to connect the screen with RGB then. The following links will show you what points to solder on the PSone screen and cube. Please note, though, that Kasar said the RGB pinout might be different on certain revisions of the cube. http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2278" o...

Re: HELP!! PROBLEMS WITH MAH SCREEN. cant take 60hz
The PSone screen will accept RGB (check the stickies in the screen section) but your gamecube (if that's what you're working on) has to be PAL, I believe. I couldn't get rgb working on my cube, anyway.Virtual Boy wrote:

Re: Portable-Making Contest SIGNUP HERE!
I'll be entering a Gamecube. It's my first portable, but not my first dabble in electronics. Anybody else willing to share what they're entering?
I hope this bump helps a few others join into the comp, as well. (Your $5 is mine! )

Re: Gamecube Portable
Sorry about the double post, but nobody was interested enough to comment. :( I've only got half the wires so far (16) soldered directly from the dvd mobo to the gc mobo. (Frustrating as heck to do.) When it's finished, I'll post pics. Also have decided to use a Madcatz Microcon GC controller instead...

Also, people have to have been members for two weeks and have 25 posts to be able to vote, so somebody can't have their real life (yes it exists) friends join and vote for them.

Re: Portable-making contest again?
I dunno, if the whole internet voted, the winner would probably be best looking, and that's it (Really biased). Too many internet buddies would vote for friends. I think it's better to be restricted to our forums, considering we have big number of people too. 4-5 months seems waaaay too long. Since ...
