You should probably add some info on the system, but I guess I will.
The N64 board is chopped up, powered by batteries, sports a cart slot relocation, and is connected to a PSone screen.

Well I got the batteries working perfectly!
Now, I hardwired the CD drive directly to the board and ran into a problem: The disc spins for a few seconds then stops.
Should I replace the CD drive?

Alright so, I ran into a problem: The battery doesn't output anything unless I give it sort of a jump start. Everything is hooked up correctly, I double checked, but the batteries aren't outputing any power unless I plug in the original power adapter. After the power adapter is plugged in the batter...
