Re: The super awesome HTPC in a NES project

I'm working on the same thing right now. waitin on the dude to ship me my NES case. This might interest you It's a 5.25" cage that can house 1 slim ODD and 1 3.5" HDD. You might be able to squeeze two smaller 2.5" in there. and some 1.8" SSD's would definitely fit. also, just use the dinovo to contr...

Re: HeartBeat recorder...

it's too grainy. I'd like something clear like the fetal heart monitors. but I haven't been able to find one that actually records sound.

HeartBeat recorder...

So, a special birthday is coming up soon. what I want to do is get her a new phone. I'm trying to find a cheap way to record my heartbeat to a digital format (WAV, MP3, OGG, etc...) so I can turn it into the ringtone on the phone. The hospital told me I'd have to pay ridiculous amounts for a 30 seco...

Fun Idle Game...

Caesary: Roman empire kinda thing. Pretty fun. Can be as idle or as detailed as you want.

Lots of fun for wasting time.

You can play it on kongregate, if you have an account there. Or you can just go to their website and check it out.

Re: DOS Mod I can't remember the name of...

We have found the name of the addon.

"DOS Menu"

The only screenshot I can find isn't on photobucket anymore. and typing that into google is hopeless. Oh well. Figured I'd update those that were interested and thank everyone for their suggestions. DFend is working great.

Re: DOS Mod I can't remember the name of...

Was it a Tandy/Radio Shack computer? If it was, it may have been DeskMate. no it wasn't quite that old. I'm just gonna go with Dfend Reloaded. simple enough to use for them. I'm not there to teach them and their parents aren't that computer literate. I agree with starting them on the command line a...

DOS Mod I can't remember the name of...

You remember DOS right? well what about the myriad of addons/mods that made DOS a little easier to navigate? Our old 486 (complete with TURBO button and 28.8 modem) had a mod on it that gave DOS a graphical user interface . I never set it up but I do remember that it was blue. You could set shortcut...

Re: Memory Question...

All good information, The board can support up to 8GB. I do believe the chip might be part of the problem. I plan on getting this as soon as I can afford it. I am quite broke. If I wasn't broke you would most likely have seen my NES HTPC with bluetooth NES controller mouse/keypad (it's gonna be awes...

Memory Question...

I'm using an nforce730i board with onboard Geforce 9300. 32-bit P4 2.8GHz processor. I have 4GB of DDR2 667 PC2 5300 dual channel SDRAM. The OS (XP Pro SP3) takes it's little bit, and the onboard 9300 takes 1GB of my physical RAM bringing me down to 2.75. My question is, what is doing the addressing...
