Nametags!
I'm going to make nametags again this year. I still have the leftovers from the pack of 2"x4" labels from last year, so it's all ready to go. I'm going to reuse the same design from last year, unless someone has a better suggestion: http://johnmiller.no-ip.org/images/MGC_Nametagstry3.jpg If you're g...

Re: Gaming PC Build Log
In my quest for blue fans that are fairly quiet, I was looking at these: XIGMATEK Cooling System Crystal Series CLF-F1251 120mm Blue LED Case Fan COOLER MASTER R4-L2S-122B-GP 120mm 4 Blue LED Case Fan 2 in 1 pack After the MIR the price is pretty much the same to put two in the front. The Xigmateks...

I'd pick this if you were interested in value. ($16 and you could equip all of the empty slots with a spar...

Re: Buzzkill
Eh, it's as much of a buzzkill as the same emulation on a PSP. Meaning: enticing for the non-DIY crowd, but for many of us, it's more for the challenge.
Plus it's a lot more fun when you tell someone "hey I built this" rather than "I bought this online".

Re: Gaming PC Build Log
My OCZ Vertex 2 SSD came with a 2.5->3.5" mounting adapter (though it was rather simplistic). Check your SSD box for an adapter first. Otherwise, SSDs produce very little heat (if any), so pretty much any adapter will be fine. Something like this would likely work great, for $5 shipped: http://www.n...

Re: Specing Out a PC
the only problem with asus motherboards is if you dont fuel them with a high end power supply they slowly die over time. a couple years and they go splat and usually take something with them. Ive been a PC tech first as a livelihood and now as a hobby/enthusiast/my obsession in life for about 16 ye...

Re: Specing Out a PC
What ketchup said, but I'll make a few comments/additions: Motherboard: That looks pretty nice, and it's listed on the osx86 project compatibility page. CPU: Whee fast. CPU cooler: Don't use Intel's stock one, it sucks. I have the unfinished version of this guy, and it's awesome (black chrome plus L...

I'd agree that the sheer amount of bots recently seems out of the norm, at least from when I was more active. In the past few days since I started coming here again I've deleted/banned at least 10 different bots. That being said, the moderators / admins do get around to taking care of bots and repo...
