What program are you using to make the magic memory stick? or are you just manually placing the files? I suggest using PSP Grader v008 (unless there is a newer version I am unaware of) and trying again. Also, just to make sure, are you holding down the R button when you boot? I also had a friend over. Played Soul Calibur and Outtrigger for a couple of hours, then I played Grandia 2, Sonic Adventure, Jet Grind Radio, Ikaruga, and some Crazy Taxi for a few more hours.
