The atari does not make a sound when powered up. How could it? It lacks any kind of speakers! Anyway, have you considered it might be the cord that goes to the TV? Cause even tho you can't remove it from the atari itself, you can easily replace it (without any soldering) with another one. You need t...

Precisely, jeroen. It's not like we're stuck in the stone age, our Tvs can do stuff. In fact, I do enjoy playing on my NTSC SNES every now and then.

I really wouldn't recommend switching cases tho, cause all you have to do to your snes is snap off two tiny pieces of plastic in the SNES cart slot. It won't even change the outer appearance of your SNES, if you do so. And if you're portablizing it, then that shouldn't be a problem in first place, u...

Now, (asides from nightwheels crap) I'm surprised how serious you guys are handling this. I mean, this is the internet after all. On most forums I would've expected the whole community to make fun of him and possibly throw rocks at him.

Nope. As long as they fit. (Which they will), you'll be fine. The only problem would be PAL cartridges.

Ohm is for resistors. Capacitors (as explained above) use Farad as unit.

buy a 1µF (microfarad) capacitor

I think what he means is really just if two wires go to the same place (a button, a switch, or RGB + sound) keep them together instead of tearing them apart

PS2 eh? See, even the developers don't believe in the ps3. I wonder if the european PS3s will be able to emulate that game?

Oh they are so going to fail. I mean besides die hard sony fanboys, who would not just buy a wii instead?
