Since you're already on 3.51, you should just go ahead and upgrade to whatever firmware you need to play Castlevania. Any official firmware past 3.50 requires a Pandora battery and memory stick to downgrade. Without knowing someone that has a homebrew compatible PSP, you're kind of boned.

Kind of off topic, but do you use an emulator for running your games, or do you have a gameboy flash cart? If you use a flash cart, can you post up some info on it. I've always wanted a gameboy flash cart, but I don't think I can build one.

TIA,

I bought mine online from divineo.com. You might try getting one from them. On the other hand, I understand being gun-shy after buying one that never worked correctly. I think that you're in the unfortunate minority that got a bunk card.

Sorry to dredge up this thread, but I've been searching for something like the R4 for my DS. I found the R4 and the CycloDS to be the two best, according to reviews, etc. The only difference between the two I really saw was that the CycloDS was more compatible with a wider range of homebrew and...s...

There was one prx that I heard of that would do what you're talking about called remaPSP, but I can't be sure of that name. I also don't think it's been updated to work with the newer custom firmwares. I think the last firmware that it worked with was 3.03 OE-C.

Looking good, man! Keep us posted, and keep the pics coming. I love seeing the work that people on this forum churn out. I'd mod stuff if I could, but I lack the patience and finesse.

@kaos: Sorry I didn't know what you were talking about in your PM. I don't think you'll get VGA or DVI into this particular encoder chip. You might be able to find a pinout and input VGA directly to the LCD, but that's a long shot.

I just got an R4 and it is great. Of course, I've never had any other kind of flash cart for the DS, but I can highly recommend it. You'll just have to add a micro SD card.

audio adapter help needed

I'm wanting to hook my guitar up to my iMac and record some stuff using Garageband, but I need a 1/4" mono to 1/8" stereo adapter. Can I just wire up an adapter that sends the mono from the guitar to both the left and right channels of the stereo plug? Is it really that simple, or is there more invo...

Here's pics of the GP2X that I took today. The first one shows it on the boot up screen so that you know it still works. It has firmware 1.2.0 in case you were wondering. <img src="http://www.austinbull.com/gp2x/gp2x_2.jpg" width="400"> The second one is a close up of the face plate where I tried to...

You trying to get answers for a take home test or something? I don't know anything about Java, but I might be able to help with some of the other questions as long as I'm not doing you homework.

I'm not really looking for anything, except Donkey Kong country for SNES, so if you've got something that you'd like to trade then let me know what it is. Regardless of what we do, I don't want any cash to have to come out of my pocket.....my wife will have my you-know-whats if I spend any more mone...

Am I the only one that takes time to tin all my connections before commencing to make connections? I find that if you tin everything properly, you don't need to use any new solder when you make the connection. Just touch both tinned ends together, and heat with the iron.

I don't really have a clue as to what I'd take for the GP2X. Like I said in my original post, I traded a PSP for it but I know that it isn't worth that much needing the work that it needs. If you just want to buy it, make an offer. Also, I might be interested in a trade...what are you thinking? I'll...
