I know what Genesis game to give you as a wedding gift :P
I told you last year, NO SHAQ-FU! And besides I don't have a working Genesis. I have an SNES. :P

The wedding is being kept small, as we have a tight budget to get it going. So, sorry no.

Re: Hello. I have a question.

Welcome to our humble forums. To get started with modding a system to run off of batteries you should let us know what system you're looking at. A few of the systems out there are very easy and straightforward in running off batteries, others however, will require more work and knowledge you'll have...

Re: New Years Resolutions?

Looks like you guys have some nice ones listed.

Mine are:
1) Get a stable job
2) Survive getting married
3) Get back in to programming (bash shell scripting doesn't count)

That's the big stuff.

Re: Benheck suite

If the Spongey One is not organizing it this year, do we know who is? Spongebuell usually does come though. But really as he said all he does is collect the money from people and put the suite(s) on his card. Like he told me this year, "I do this for two reasons; one for the fun, and two for the mi...

Re: cool things to see/do in vegas?

Downtown LV has the largest TV screen in the world! They do visual shows on it at night. I can't help you were it is only that I saw them talk about it on the History Channel. But that would be worth checking out. If you're 21, I would say go see the hotel that is shaped as a pyramid. It's not as bi...

Re: Unhealthy obsession

I used to have very bad obsessions with games. When PSO came out for the Dreamcast, playing that before I ever bothered getting dressed was rather normal for a while. In high school I was playing Diablo 2 and LoD for over two years every day! And yes I have gone through the addiction of World of War...

Re: New to these things

Also look at the SNES first. It's a much easier project and good for getting the basics down. N64s are known to break quite easily, and also require a more advanced power supply, same goes for the GameCube. If you want to know about the kind of screen you can use, look at the forum listing and go to...

Tour of the the Detroit Maker Fair (56k warning)

I talked with Nevermind1534, he wanted to start a seperate thread for pictures (and videos) of the show. Well here's the first of it from me. Here's Nevermind1534 at the controls of his team's robot http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v446/Sparkfist/Maker%20Fair%202010/IMGA0017.jpg http://img.photobuc...

Re: Maker Faire Detroit

Your kind words are so welcome wallydawg. I'm going to get the pictures posted tomorrow in the morning. I'm hoping to get to pulling the video off Money and Tuesday. Unfortunetly I'm suck using WMM, as I can't find a good reliable video editor under Linux. Anyways. I'll try to also get the video fro...

Re: Portable Travel

I have to agree that bic's suggestion is the safest. However if that isn't something your'e going to do put it in with your checked luggage. Trying to walk it on as a carry-on is about the most sure way to get it taken. And believe me I've heard of someone's mother getting a bit of the raw deal when...

Re: Maker Faire Detroit

Well I'm charging my camcorders, batteries for camera, and I'll see about getting gas in my car (only 1/4 tank left). I'm going to see about trying to go, tickets weren't as bad as I thought, and I can bring a backpack so I'll be nice and comfortable carrying around everything. So maybe I'll see nev...

Re: Maker Faire Detroit

I've been waiting for this! I'm just not 100% sure if I should go, the tickets are $44, and well... I've wanted to go to a maker fair since I saw the Systm 2006 Maker Fair San Fransisco. If I can make it there, I be sure to take pictures and add them to Facebook or photobucket and share. By the way,...

Re: Good name for a "Ben Heck" show?

Project Ben Heck
I think that would be a good option. Sounds a little more interesting then just, "The Ben Heck Show."

Or for the the shear silliness, "Hacking VG: with Ben Heckendorn"

Re: Looking for MP3 player suggestions

Well you can look at what Nextrar has to offer. I have a MA566 model, has a nice little LCD for what track/artist you're listening to, come in a variety of sized (mines 2GB), don't need special software (windows - WMP, Linux - Rhythmbox). They're pretty cheap so it's not like you're going to feel ba...

Re: Your favorite alcohol?

I apologize if anyone has a problem with this thread being locked. However Ben has asked that this site keep a PG rating and discussions of alcohol are not PG, they're not even PG-13. So I'm stopping this thread here. You'll have to find another site or way to discuss this topic.
