Are you taking apart the clamp for the cable when you took it apart, and did you push it back in when you replaced the cable? Thats all that comes to mind for me...

Well personally I've never really done anything besides patch some things up using it. But there's a kid at school that made a full trench coat using just duct tape. Turbo buttons... Yep! Most people don't know about controllers with turbo for some reason. I only know of them because of game ads in comic books.
