Yes, that'd be fine. I have a 12V adapter for my NES and it works fine. I don't remember the amp rating but it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 500mA.

I walked straight into a big metal pole at school last year. I felt really stupid, and it hurt like hell, and the scar is still there. All because the school didn't want us to walk on the new grass.

I broke my arm jumping out of a swing way back in first grade. I had to sleep an entire night on that arm without knowing it was broken. Yeah, not fun.

Also, that was right while i was learning how to play piano. :(

Heh, Sony's pulling a Nintendo with releasing more colors as a console reaches the end of its lifecycle. Remember all those N64 colors when Gamecube was on the horizon?

One of my buddies got a DS Lite with a stuck pixel. He returned it and everything's all hunky-dory now, but I'm curious as to what's up with Nintendo because the DS Lite is their only system where they've had problems (widespread anyway) with manufacturing. (stuck pixels and hinge crack)

This is the tutorial I used. One thing that I really like about it is that it teaches it to you so you remember it, they don't just tell you what tags do what. It also delves into JavaScript a bit.

Oh. Dang, then I guess that uber-cool idea wouldn't work. Oh well. It'd be cool to have it so you could flip a switch and have it do that, like on a DS when you close it.

If you have any Adobe video stuff (Premiere, After Effects, etc.) you can export a movie as a gif.

Re: DS homebrew

cool, what is the program? also, how do i flash the DS? The program is flashme.nds and you flash it by using a passme or superkey or something, and then run the flashme.nds program. You have to bridge the sl1 contacts which are behind the battery pack in order to flash it. Plug your DS in while you...

Adobe Primiere Elements is only $100 and you can easily find a bundle that comes with Photoshop Elements (also cool). Windows Movie Maker..... no. Also, I suggest Adobe After Effects for special effects and compositing and whatnot. Its a very cool program, but is $700 new. You can find older version...

If the main problem is the level of audio is too high, why can't one just put a resistor on the input audio line? I know this sounds too simple, but why not?

Edited for clarity.

I use Premiere Elements as well, and like bic said, it's not perfect, but it is loads better than than WMM. Also, if you're interested in special effects and whatnot, Adobe After Effects is a great program. Granted it's ~$700 new, but you can find version 5.5 or so for roughly $100 on eBay. (5.5 is ...
