No need for the sarcasm, I do A level physics so I know what convection is. And the fact is, if the hot air is being pumped out at speed, as I assume as you'r using fans, then there will not be enough time for the hot air to rise before hitting your hands. Ergo your hands won't be cooled.

Wait a mo Cennar. If the fans are cooling the PS2, won't the air be warm therefore not cooling your hands.

I was looking about and somebody said it could be a GOAC not a SMSOAC. If so, I detect a really cool portable Megadrive. If I was American i'd be getting one and ripping it open. But alas, they ain't on sale in the UK :(

Skyone, what did you try to backlight it with? LEDs or EL film? And when you said it didn't work, do you mean it was too bright and washed out the screen or that the thing just broke.

Acording to this, ur idea might be possible, but doesn't seem worth the hassle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GD-ROM edit by mod: You don't need URL tags around a lone URL, unless you work at the Department of Redundancy Department. But if you do use them, please make sure they're put together right ...

I will, when I can find another gameboy. The only one I have was my first games console. Love it too much to hack. When I get one for my GBA SP in a GBO case, I'll rip the rest apart.

Backlighting the oldschool Gameboy

I've been wondering this for ages, is it possible to backlight the gameboy. Most people say no... if you use LEDs. My idea tho is to use the same technique as the Gameboy light (backlit gameboy light). Basically it uses Electro Luminesense film, like digital watches. My only worry is, can I open the...

Don't think it would work I'm afraid. The Dremcast uses GD Roms, basically CD ROMS but they read from the outside in, not the inside out.
