well, the issue happened when i was messing with the controller port while the power was still on :oops: . i was fiddling with a knife when i shorted out the 3 wires for the controller. Just wondering, does anyone know what really happens when the N64 "frys"?
and im not talking about the fuses burning out which can be fixed but when the N64 is really dead.

test the output voltages with a multimeter, its the only way to know for shur if its the converter or the wiring.

i tried this before. removing the plastic from the expansion pack will mess it up. the N64 should be fine but the expansion card is broken, you need a new one.

i was also wondering if the main battery in the diagram is a 12 volt one and what voltage does the PS One Screen run at? the same as the battery? as I see no conversion done

I'm pretty sure my N64 is dead. im inputing the right voltage in the right slots, I checked all 11 fuses on the console. all that happens when I turn it on is the power LED comes on and the video and audio on the TV its attached to spike, that is, the screen flashes once and the speakers click... th...
