Make sure not to format the wrong one, or you may format your first hard drive and lose everything.

I am speaking in terms of less than a GHz because I'm poor and don't want to risk overclocking machines over 1 GHz. So I don't.

what was the original speed of that super 7... 550? 550MHz was roughly as high as most Super 7 processors were labeled. I've never heard of a 600 MHz one, though it is possible. Super 7s tend to be in the range of 266 to 550, and normal Socket 7s tend to be 133 (75 if you want to be technical) to 2...

I've seen several 333(A) MHz Celeron go 450MHz, but that's because of a lack of cache. Since a Pentium III has more cache, it is generally harder to overclock than a Celeron (on the other hand, it's capable of more performance per clock). If you can push a 450MHz Pentium to 512, then I wouldn't be s...

Well, you have to remember that each edge will always have the same colors glued to it, so you have to count that in somehow. There are: 8 sections with 3 colors each 8 sections with 2 colors each 6 sections with 1 color each I don't know how to calculate that in, but that would certainly affect the...

This stuff has been on NESDev for years, including the lists of mappers, cartridge sizes, and the methods of swaping out the chips. Furthermore, I'm not sure it's as legal as this site says. some of the games on that list have since been distributed on different mediums, such as the Final Fantasy ga...

There's nothing wrong with asymmetry if it's done right, and this is done right. I like this one very much.

You do need an EEPROM burner, and chips of the 27Cxxx type that match up to the PRG and CHR ROM sizes. Also, the cart has to have the correct mapper chip, and be set to the correct type of scrolling, which is determined by a blob of solder on the cart coard. I looked into it a couple years back and ...

I believe Indigno meant "don't post multiple times without someone else posting in between". The posts need not be the same for a multi-post, and such multi-posts are frowned upon here. We have an edit button for that reason.

Nintendo TOLD Famitsu. It is still Nintendo's estimate, which should be taken for the gospel truth unless otherwise stated by the company itself, assuming Famitsu's story is legitimate.

I sometimes call the grey Playstation a PSX, especially on these forums where it is a common name, because it was PlaySyation Experimental, but am trying to get away from it. I called is the PS0 for a while, (PlayStation Zero) but my family started calling it "POS" instead. Now I call it "The Origin...

No, it isn't. Nintendo estimate > 7-11 estimate for obvious reasons.
