Yes. Flux is an acid; it is corrosive. You should always clean flux off a board (with alcohol or flux cleaner) after using it.

Watch out for eBay (possibly) fake seller!

Two of those have been made by Ben (Heck), and the third one probably was made by someone other than him. They are probably fake. I hope nobody tries to pay a few thousand for a laptop from a guy named "ninjagamingstudios", who uses COMIC SAAAANNS and has 4 feedback, even if they are 100%. (Caveat e...

Re: I am lost....

Probably not. That doesn't look like the part where you can put in video signals, it looks like the cable with signals that come from the LCD driver board. If you still have the driver board for the LCD and it accepts composite (yellow RCA plug) video input, then you can, but you will have to use th...

Re: Laptop Drive Spacing

There are about 40 machines to do, too, so foam core is attractive in that it is easy to cut, but I've also been considering little sticky backed rubber shoes. I would go with rubber shoes. McMaster-Carr has a great selection of adhesive rubber feet. They come in a sheet of 20 or so (I think, it de...

Re: Not sure what section to put it (buying portable n64 thread)

-What's the commission price range for the portable itself (excluding shipping) $200-$1000. You pretty much said it yourself though: I know it depends on the seller, condition, ect -Forums that allow commission work sometimes have rules that make you buy and send the supplies (had this experience w...

Custom handheld console

You are not going to be able to emulate systems on a microcontroller. I think you might need to look a little more into what they are. (There is the Uzebox though. You may want to look into that, maybe program some games?) It would be easier for an end result to buy a Dingoo or a gp2x (or even a PSP...

Lead-free solder is used not because it's cheaper (which it's not), but because of RoHS compliance.

Re: prospective gcp build

You could just desolder the pins, with solder braid or a desoldering iron. Then you could save the ports.

Re: PSOne LCD VGA in, question concerning high resolution

My PSOne LCD will be modded to accept VGA input signal at 640x480 resolution (this is native PSOne LCD's resolution, right?). Sorry, the PSone LCD is only 320x240, which is probably not good enough for your uses. This LCD might be better, a little pricier though, and there are even some HD LCD's th...

Use something like epoxy. Like JB Weld.
JB weld is pretty damn strong, and almost impossible to get off.

It actually would help to know what you're holding together though.

A car battery's voltage isn't always 12v, it might not be the best idea to hook it straight up.

Re: Custom Super Nintendo

For you to make it yourself, or for someone else to do it?

For yourself, all it takes is some painting tape, spray paint, some LED's, and an matching value resistor for the LED's. About $10-$15 or so.

Re: NETJET

I have heard that you can copy generic USB controller drivers over the netjet drivers, and get it to work as a normal pad. But don't take my word for it.
