Caps are dangerous. We had to test some at school a few years back and I touched some by accident. They were 15mF each so that hurt pretty bad :? After the tests nobody dared to put them away :)

I (and many others) know that if you put a SNES game in backwards, the data all gets erased. Perhaps it's something similar. maybe, pretty sure it wasnt in backwards maybe i happened when i was flicking the power switch. i think that it can erase data also. I'm sure mine wasn't in backwards either....

It's really not that complicated. They aren't going to use such expensive technology for just a lockout chip.

The ability to use the Snes without the Nes has given me an idea. I've tried connecting everything just like Grahf said and it worked perfectly so I thought of using the NES board as some sort sort of extension on the bottom of the portable. I don't play a lot of NES games so taking that part away m...

I don't think there's a pal FC twin (maybe a Japanese pal but dunno). Anyway I'm using a NTSC FC Twin with the NTSC version of Super Mario RPG and it doens't work correctly. The Mario Kart I used is PAL, which led to glitches.

that's a spot for a nes cic if you ask me. And that wouldn't make a europe game compatible. With the lockout cart thing I was talkiing bout ntsc games like mario rpg witch won't work without a intact snes lockout. (altough a little mod can fix that) Mario RPG? That's the first game I tried with my ...

Oh. Well anyway, I've tested mine and apparently it also works perfectly with PAL games. This is great for me because I won't have to buy region specific games. Not all games work but a lot do. I wonder if it works with Japanese PAL games aswell... Anyone tested it?

Probably tie between N64 and SNES. Snes has the best rpg's ever and N64 has some of the best action/adventure's I know.

Is it possible to reuse the NES alone or would you need the extra power board?
