1/4 of the screen does not work? Do you mean like it is letterboxed or is it more like, the bottom half doesn't work or something. Could be a damaged ribbon cable (does the screen use one?).

Yes indeed Kyo. I'm not really feeling like actually buying some floppy's at a store... It's 2007 :? Also it would be a lot handier if I could just have one cd-rom with a lot of my backups or homebrew games on it instead of using like 3 floppy's for every single game. But I guess I'm just going to h...

Floppy drive connector to cd-rom or HDD

Hey guys, I just bought this Game Doctor SF7 thingy and it's really cool and all except for one thing: it uses floppy's. I know there is some sort of cd-rom upgrade available but it's kinda rare and even more expensive then the unit itself. So I was wondering if I could somehow connect a cd-rom driv...

Check if any of the fuses burned through (they look like the smd resistors).

That might be it, yes. 7805's tend to have built in temperature sensors which shut the ic down if the temperature gets to high.

Yes there definantly is a big difference. I hooked up my laptop to an extra tv and it looks way better with a HDMI cable, altough it's a lot more expensive as well.

Yeah, why... Probably because they felt it wasn't really worth the effort. If you see which games don't work because of this and compare it to the cost of the actual ic, you've got yourself a good reason
Anyway, if you don't want to break open a sports game you could just buy a counter ic.

This is a great idea. I think you should grab this opportunity to make a not so easy portable or perhaps something along the lines of Bacteria's project. But it would be kind of a waste using all that time and money on a portable that isn't really worth making (like imagine making an atari 5200 port...

Yes, forgot to mention that
It's for a FC twin so I'll guess it'll be ntsc then, right?
Also, it doesn't need to be 5" exactly

Old book cover  That's the weirdest idea I have ever heard. It might work, but it woudn't be very durable. Don't you want you're 'probably quite expensive snesp' to be in some nice looking case? Try buying a project box or something. It'll look a lot better.

I dunno but it might be fixed by putting the CRC from an original snes in the empty D411 space on the FC twin... At least that's what I always thaught was the problem with the system.

WTB: good 5" screen for around 80$ shipped

Problem: I live in Europe.
Anyone have a decent 5" screen (psone would be nice), with composite input and in good working condition?
I would like to give around 80$ for it shipped but off course we can negotiate on that matter.
