Re: VGA output via fpga
Just got about 9000 emails about this thing and a ton of blogs featured it. Thanks to my friend Chris thinking it would be motivate me to work on it, I suppose. Well, it worked. Basically everybody told me they want HDMI audio. So I am considering a complete design revision, and placing the mod some...

Is the problem repeatable? Or is it something that happens very occasionally?buttheadrulesagain wrote:Is anyone also having problems with Wave Race saving?
Email me a EEP save file at the support address and I'll try to replicate it.

Re: VGA output via fpga
Well there are no dead shorts after assembly, so it's looking good. Need to wire it up later and then re-start HDL writing

Re: Dead N64 PSUs
The PSUs will soft reset themselves in short order usually. I.e. I plugged in a proto cart with a dead short across 3v3/GND. The n64 LED came on for a fraction of a second. Repeated attempts failed. I unplugged the adapter and removed the cart causing the short. Waited 5mins and plugged the brick ba...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
As far as I can tell the DK64 save issue is actually just a particularly bad case of a bug in my implementation. It must be the way that it accesses it that it fails often enough (or it could be an actual almost bug in the game itself). I am taking a look at this in the firmware rewrite. Anyway I fi...

Re: VGA output via fpga
OK I have added the extra two signals to the connector on the next pcb as well as a jumper for selecting GC mode (note this only provides the possibilty, the actual functionality doesn't exist)

Re: VGA output via fpga
Ozone, Wow, it's been a while. I have been asked a couple times through email if this could be adapted for use with Gamecube. If it uses digital video output, probably yes. IIRC there needed to be some color space conversion as well. There's a gamecube somewhere around here, havent booted one in a f...

Yup that's pretty well done. Probably the definitive PS2 portable.
