Re: How To Remove Nintendo Screws- a Tutorial
Scratch that I think I would rather have the right tool. Even though the E-4 bit will work for the 3.8mm and the E-6 will fit the 4.5mm it's still a pain to remove the screws that way. I also tried my 4mm deep craftsman socket it just don't work. It would if I file the end a bit so it removes the ro...

Re: How To Remove Nintendo Screws- a Tutorial
I use an E-4 torx bit for the 3.8mm screws in game carts. I have tried external torx sockets for the snes but couldn't get any that would fit. Will have to try some more sockets. I'm a mechanic so there should be something in my toolbox to fit them. If not I will get these. They are tempered steel s...

WTB/WTT nes snes cords and sockets extensions
WTB/WTT nes snes cords and sockets. I'm thinking about a project to be able to use nes controllers on the retro duo I have. And use the snes controllers on the nes. Thinking about mounting them all inside a box with some switches. Then using snes and nes extension cords to plug into the box and go t...

Re: WTB/WTT Original SNES controller cable
Are the bare wires on just the end that goes to the controller? How long is it? I have the end that plugs into the snes would just have to take the end apart and solder the wires inside the connector to make it look clean.

Re: WTB/WTT Original SNES controller cable
Yes even though I can remove the connector and solder the replacement controller's cord on I would rather have the original.

Re: WTB/WTT Original SNES controller cable
Sounds good to me. Let me know for sure if you have it and I can pay with pay pal. I tried buying a replacement controller just for the cord but that project failed since the original snes cables had a connector and the replacements are soldered.

Re: Game Genie Hacks...
Not sure about how to reduce the soldering but to make it neater inside you could use ribbon cable 80 conductor ribbon cable the type used for hd's would be great get it in the lowest gauge number available to make it easier to solder. hide the game genie board under the NES board then cut the conne...

Re: nes/snes retro duo! pics, review, hacking info 11/16/08
My retro duo playes castlevania III just like the nes same with zelda II, gauntlet, gauntlet II, mario I, mario III, snes super mario world. It actually plays these games better than the nes the game play is much faster and smoother. Maybe it's my nes age but the retro duo works much better. When I ...
