the problem may be your ps2's video settings, open the system configuration and try playing around with the settings in there

curious...besides for these types of projects, what else can epoxy be used for? epoxy is essentially just a glue that hardens very quickly and becomes quite solid, and can be used as a filler, if you need to give something more structural strength, or it can be used to seal something that might be ...

i know they make epoxy dispensing guns, but you still have to mix it yourself, and apply it to whatever your using it on.

as you may know, the ps2 slim has a 24 pin ffc that connects the laser assembly to the ps2 main board. what i am trying to find is a pinout of that 24 pin ziff.

As far as the regulator goes. Just stick a small quiet fan near it to draw away the heat OR if you have a low profile copper or aluminum heat-sink available cut a small piece off and mount it on top of the coil using some thermal epoxy.
