Sorry to say this project is over. Some may have seen it coming but it's done for because of the number of things that would go wrong after having it work fine, yet i still would love to have a portable ps2, however, the massive amount of money invested and time spent is lost, and the machine is no ...

this is pretty much the case. if the laser works but suddenly doesn't, the cables being loose is a major cause, but if not- the laser lights but the motor doesnt spin then you need a new laser. same case with a V9 im selling, but every laser that "works" lights but doesnt spin. A new laser WILL fix ...

Code Hacking for PS2, PS1, Gamecube, DS, etc.......
Quite a while ago i found an interesting site with the sole purpose of creating you OWN codes for your favvy games. CodeMaster's Project . This site was the first of it's kind to help me with this new hobby. I am a PS2 pwner as you may have known, so I decided to try to find a code for one of my fav...

What kind of ps2 are you using?? You have to MAKE SURE that all your connections are plugged in and tight. If your laser worked before, and doesnt now, that may be the case. You may want to buy a new laser on ebay anyway. I have had the same issues with my ps2m that will get done later, but right no...

Different PS2 Laser Types
I have noticed that there are several lasers used in the old ps2 models [obviously]. The first is the KHS-400A witch is used on the version 1 consoles. Also on the version 1-4 consoles is the KHS-400B laser. Next up is the KHS400C and SF-HD7/ KHS-400R. Now this is where im having trouble, i know for...

I would have used a 7" to 8.4" LCD, but wiring and space is ALMOST NONE, im barely able to get the air to flow thru the unit w/out overheating. It's a miracle it doesn't. On the other hand my PayPal account problems have been resolved, i have a new laser and mobo comin my way, so look out for update...

I'm trying to be respectful, and its just my opinion, but that's how i think it will work. Now, the cpu gets hot, and its cooled down by a fan that blows air. The air is warm because of the convection, and this makes the cpu not to overheat, and regardless of how warm the air is- the fan spins fast e...

It's not done yet, but just one good mobo away. I looked on ebay for some ps2's and im getting a working 50001 model that plays all discs but the dude used the laser gear for parts to another system and it slips when ejecting or something. Also got on for 2 that are 50001 and 30001 and i bought a 30...

That's quite understandable. What makes is so hard is that you have to get the 100% working mobo and test it, then desolder the usb, a/v connector, and the optical unit. Afterwards, the case was HARD to mentally visualize so space was an issue at one time. Not to mention the paint, molding in the sw...

Well, if you jump the fuses you can run it off of 12v, but the screen inverts the colors. I did this on my PS2M when i didn't have a 8v reg. You problably could but you would have to do some research onthe video chip to re-invert the colors to normal. This is what i have done, but you can do this at...
