Re: Led Game mod!!!
Just to be forewarned people!! I do this mod all the time, and the other day I got complacent and careless and after installing an LED in a GBA cart it looked perfectly fine, however without a magnifying glass I didn't notice that a tiny little metal dust particle had bridged the positive pin and a...

baby 64 - (pics & wip)
Hi guys, after putting my snesp on the backburner, I decided to take a hacksaw to my N64 and I'm pretty happy with the results thus far even though I'm far from finished. My aim is not a portable, but instead end up with an N64 that has about a 40% size reduction and still looks and works like an N6...

^ thanks mate. After putting in a new cap the mobo worked fine. They're pretty resilient!

Don't give up hope dude, aside from the inverted colours the picture is perfectly intact. There's a high chance you might stumble on the solution and get your colour back.

Re: A question about Powerpacks that plug into the wall
lol, I just had a flashback, I remember sitting next to my friend Jimmy, and in class he was making a 12v power supply on a breadboard, and I remember saying to him "when are you ever going to need something like that?" *FACEPALM* p.s - um, I really don't think I should be thinking of messing around...

A question about Powerpacks that plug into the wall
Hi guys, Sorry for my noobishness, it's been 10 years since I was last in high school electronics class and even then I was too busy gawking at girls. The default power plug that comes with a Gamecube or SNES, that you plug into the wall.. that turns 240v AC into 12v DC - my question is with those p...

Re: Worklog:P.O.C 64!!!
I don't know why but I find the name "POC64" to be very catchy
Although I think in Australia we would be more inclined to use the phrase - P.O.S

Re: Whats the big capacitor on the SNES mobo? 2200uF ?
Oh yeah, I bloody forgot to turn the SNES on and off to empty the capacitor - was unsoldering the capacitor and bridged the two points, DOH. There was a little spark because I bridged the cap - is that enough to kill my SNES mobo or is there a 50/50 chance that the mobo is fine?

Whats the big capacitor on the SNES mobo? 2200uF ?
Hi, sorry just a quick question. I'm at work and I need to buy another one of those huge capacitors for my SNES mobo. From memory I think it was a 25v 2200 uF capacitor but I'm not sure. I'm at work so I can't take a look at the board, could anyone please tell me the numbers on the capacitor so I ca...

Re: Will krylon fusion work with bondo?
It bonds much better without primer. I have never primed any of my case mods, my GBA has never flaked or peeled in it's daily use of about 10 months and it feels very nice to hold. Wet sand that sucker until it feels like a baby's bottom, then 3 coats of paint, and then 2 of clear coat/gloss. If at ...

I'm a bit late, I've only just seen this thread for the first time
Life of Brian: you're cases always look bloody fantastic! Can't believe you did that with only a drill, knife and file, must have taken a fair bit of work to get it to look so "clean"!

Re: Gameboy pocket paintjob
Hi guys, I have found a lot of "Wet sanding" & then 2 coats of Tamiya model spray paint & 1 or 2 coats of Clear Tamiya Gloss to be very effective controller "buttons". It's about as durable as you're gonna get without actually moulding the plastic in your chosen colour. The car model paint is design...

I got a bit demoralized after killing 10 different units, however I came back to check out some of the great work done by Bibin & Palmertech, and suddenly found myself interested all over again.

Re: DS phat SNES controller hack questions.
Hi mate, sorry for the late post: (sorry I know this thread is 3 months old), but hopefully I can help out. A guy called "Noir" saw my SNES controller mod on youtube and did it much better than I ever could. He used a micro sized female/male port to connect his Snes controller into the back of the D...
