Wanted: GBA inside a netbook case.
Netbook internals are usually pretty crammed in their cases as it is. It would be pretty cool to see though.

Re: Is this the thinnest xbox laptop yet? video
I can't guaruntee that it's the thinnest, but I'd say that it is definitely one of the thinnest. I'm curious as to what you did to keep it so thin. did you take pictures along the way?

Crazy Idea :D
Okay. An idea kind of just popped into my head. It's ridiculous in the sense of I could only imagine a few people who would need somehting like it and the fact that it would run some serious bucks... but I deem it the PLP(Portable Lan Party) Consists of 4 360 Slims, a switch, a power strip, and 4 mo...

The heatsinks are definitely needed and they need to be secured. Either with xclamps or screws. And thermal paste isnt 100% necessary for testing purposes. But you need thermal paste when you're closing the unit up.

Are your heatsinks on and properly attached? Can we see a picture of the trace that was lifted?

Re: What is your favorite brand of computer?
I'm a PC guy. And Dell is hands down the best in my book. They seldom break down and when they do they aren't impossible to fix.
And Macs are only made by apple, no question about branding?

Video card problem
The times it doesn't boot, does it get past bios and start loading windows?
It may have been a windows update that pushed a bad graphics driver. Go into device manager and rollback your graphics card driver. That might do it.

2 5/8" is pretty good. I'd say a lot of them are between 3 and 4.

Well mate, you're basically screwed if you want Microsoft to fix it. Warranty is probably gone on that sucker and even if it weren't you opening it killed it. You should be able to fix it though. 0102 sucks but is fixable. Do the traditional reflow/ x clamp fix. Don't over do the reflow like you did...

PS3 death, revival, and death again?
I work mostly in 360s too. Looked the problem up and did a reflow. I just don't know why it's failing again.

PS3 death, revival, and death again?
A couple months ago I fixed my friends launch date 60GB PS3. Just a general reflow and it was working fine. Now it has the same problem, turns on to red lights and 3 beeps. Does anyone know what I should do? I don't know if there is a more permanent fix, or if I should just continue doing reflows. I...

No. Your biggest concern will be the Disc drive. So long as you ply games that are downloaded you won't demolish any of your games.
