Re: Xbox controller(help please)
mac1311 sent me his controller to work on, and it was made with the Headset connector removed, thus causing the issue here. The Headset connector on the 360 controllers is a closed circuit type, or more precisely a half closed circuit as only the Speaker side has the extra connection and not the Spe...

Re: Iron Man 2 XBox 360 Suitcase?
If you're wanting it to still be controlled by the temperature of the 360 like the stock fans are there isn't. You'd have to add in your own temp sensor and controller circuit to do that, but there are plenty of other fixed voltage sources, or combinations thereof if 12v is too loud, that can be use...

Re: Iron Man 2 XBox 360 Suitcase?
I doubt the LVDS pulls that full 4A, be a real bad design if it did, and you're good to pull a few Amps from the 12v rail, so it'll be fine. I personally wouldn't power the fan there from the stock fan header though. That thing has a tendency to pop the Transistors when anything but the stock fans a...

Re: 3PS60 Controller, Wired 360 controller in PS3 shell
Thanks. For a blank PCB this small, you can get 20 made up at Seeedstudio for around $40, depending on the shipping method you choose. The smallest board they offer is 5 x 5cm and you get 10 of them, and 2 of these can fit per board at that size. As far as the time it takes to design and such, I did...

Re: 3PS60 Controller, Wired 360 controller in PS3 shell
Thanks. I've tested everything out now and it all works like it should. The newer version of the PCB has also been finished and sent off to be made up, and when it shows up I'll retest again and post results. It just has some minor changes is all. The top board is the new revision, while the bottom ...

Re: PSU mod question.
Unless you're cracking the PSU open with it plugged in and running then you're in no danger, and if you are then you have other issues that need dealt with first. ;) If you mean the 12v, 5v, etc. wires, just unplug everything, especially the AC power cable, and you'll be fine. If you're planning on ...

Re: 36X Controller PCB
If you like. The more people that are seriously interested in having one made up means everyone would have to pay less for one. It still needs to probably go thru a couple more prototype versions before everything is where I'd like it to be and works out right, but at the moment it's pretty close to...

Re: 36X Controller PCB
No offense taken at all, it just isn't made to be compared to a 360 controller. It's made to be compared to the amount of time and work it saves over having to strip down a 360 board and rewire it for whatever the said project is. It's more of an 'over the long run' saver type of thing, and I wish I...

Re: 36X Controller PCB
The board isn't a 360 controller board for starters, so comparing it to what that controller costs is irrelevant. It's made to go into the 360 shell with whatever you want to wire up to it, so to better compare that cost you need to look at it versus stripping down the actual 360 controller board, r...

Re: 36X Controller PCB
Thanks. If there is enough interest I may, but it still needs to go thru a couple more prototype versions before I'd be content with making a pile of them and then setting some price. The more people interested the cheaper it would be though, as the more boards that get made up in a run the cheaper ...

Re: Please Help xbox arcade cabinet Triggers??????
Nope, it will make no difference at all. The PS2 and PS3 controllers also have Analog buttons, but they can all be duplicated with a N.O. type of button.

36X Controller PCB
This isn't technically a 360 type of hack, it's more like a starting point for other controllers that want to use the 360 controller shell. I've made a couple of different controllers that use the 360 controller board as the base, the PS360 (PS3 controller in the 360 shell) and PS2x30 (PS2 + PS3 ada...

Re: Custom 360/PS3 Controller Work Done
XS = Xbox-Scene PayPal is preferred. It really depends on how you are wanting it made up exactly as to what it will cost. I don't make a 'cookie cutter' kind of PS360 controller, I make them up based on how the person wants it made. Just a simple PS360, which is only the PS3 controller in the 360 sh...

Re: Please Help xbox arcade cabinet Triggers??????
All of the buttons have Ground for one side, so all you do is connect one button's Ground side to the next one. Think of each new button have a 1 and 2 for the connections, because that's all there is anyway. All of the 1s are going to be Ground, so you can either run a single wire from each new but...
