Re: Commercial Batteries in Parallel

I originally wanted to use the native batteries so that I could charge and play simultaneously without any problems, but now my dreams are fleeting. EDIT: I think I have decided on have the 3 batteries inside and having a rotary switch so they can be used separately. Thanks tom for the info. I got m...

Re: Commercial Batteries in Parallel

I dug into these batteries a little more and there are protection circuits on each of them. Is it still unsafe to try and charge them in parallel?

Re: Best Soldering Iron?

Yes, but that didn't really seem to affect anything. My advice is to only partially unscrew the screw if you ever replace the tip. I think my problem was caused when twisting the top part to find the lost screw hole. I just bought 2 of these for less than $10 total. 30watts, a two year warranty, a n...

Re: Best Soldering Iron?

I have a pretty cheap one from radioshack that can switch between 15w and 30w. I haven't had any real problems with it yet...well except for the fact it turned brown/rust color pretty quickly... not sure if all irons do that or if I can thank the guys at radioshack for that. I have (had) the same o...

Re: Commercial Batteries in Parallel

http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/12/28/565704/diagram2.jpg ok, kind of a dirty diagram but I know there are some smart people around here. When Switch 1 is to B, C, or D it should be able to charge and play battery 1, 2, or 3, respectively. When switch 1 is to A and Switch 2 is enabled i should be...

Re: Laptop Case?

i tried a similar thing with a gutted laptop case, but i failed. The issue was space. Trying to fit the console mobo, screen mobo, batteries, disc drive and room to wire and cool is tough, unless it was a pretty large laptop. It would have looked really cool though, good luck on your project.
