Re: DC cooling mod
Now I cant really say i know a thing or two about the Dreamcast, but Sony got away with passive cooling on most of their stuff, Dreamcast equivilent to a PSone right(Processing Power Wise)? Please don't get mad at me, I've never owned or played one. They never had any fans in any model of PSone unit...

Re: Whats the deal with printers?
I think they should standardize typical printer Cartridges, one designed not for the specialty printers. They could still set a default size or brand ink cartridge for the print, scan, fax combos. (Everyday printers) And set some standard size cartridges for the specialized photo printers that use d...

Bugs from Update?
I know the forums just went under a upgrade, but i think there may be a bug. For some reason the search option for the forums is either not working correctly.......or the new method for searching by words is extremely difficult lol. I even tested it a few times trying to type in different phrases/wo...

Wow
That pretty much looks like the insides of my DVD player, exactly alike. Except mine is made by TDE. I tried tinkering around with it, pulling out a series of cables to the LCD because it looked like the chips to run the LCD alone where mounted in the top unit next to the LCD. First I was trying to ...

Produce a similar sh...

12 Volt Regulator
A 7812 - 12VDC regulator should fill the needs of the 12v power source for the N64 mobo correct? And besides making sure of applying a heat sink to the regulator, should any capacitors or resistors be used in conjuction to power the N64 with this type of regulator? Bought the regulator at Radio Shac...

Question
Ok, considering a 7808 regulator has an output of 8volts, that will not fry my screen right? Only a .5v difference but I would hate to build this, and then have to go and replace the screen later on because it was too much of a load.
Please be gentle, newbe at this stuff

Radio Shack
Probably should go to Radio Shack and buy u a 7805 regulator, they are sure to carry it. It will bump down voltage to 5 volts, but if u buy a seperate regulator u have no reason to attach it to the PSone screen mobo. He was just mentioning a way to avoid buying one, but their real cheap considering....
