Re: Making a dreamcast portable
Oh yeah, I forgot you would need a picoPSU first... sorry! The Gamecube adaptor only outputs 12v, which would fry the PSone screen... guess you'll have to buy a 7808 regulator for the screen and a picoPSU for powering the Dreamcast! Sorry! Fortunately, the 7808 regulators are very cheap - free! -Bla...

Re: Making a dreamcast portable
PSP adaptor only has 5v, you need at least 7.4-8 or something volts... can't remember. Can you get access to a PSone wall adaptor? It's 7.4v!
Oh, and in a few days I'll post pictures on how to hook up the screen to your Dreamcast.

Yes, but I believe it only works with a 14.8v battery... find one that works with lower voltages?

Re: Power your VMU off USB!
What a great idea! I never thought of that, I just did the mod, it works great! However, soldering the wires to the contacts would be a much better idea, then just insulating it with a small amount of tape. However, a great mod, and it works great! It's been the thing I have been looking for :D -Bla...
