Free Stuff!

I'm doing some cleaning and found a bunch of stuff that I was going to throw out but I figured some modder might find one of these things useful. I have way more stuff I'll be posting in the coming days but this is what I have so far. You just pay shipping and I'll send out whatever you want. I'm no...

Re: SNES Save state project

I know this thread is pretty old but there is something similar to what you have in mind. It's called the Nakitek Game Saver+. I got one with the intention of internalizing it into the snes console but that kind of fell apart. From what I could tell, the ROM of whatever game you are playing is copie...

Re: Touch sensitive Super Nintendo

you used a microcontroller for this? lol i guess when all you have is a hammer... I'm not really sure where I'd even start without a microcontroller  I guess I could do something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfpSrwb5XEQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Then I'd need...

Touch sensitive Super Nintendo

I made a Super Nintendo that turns on with a tap of the finger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GURs1eeROtM I posted something about this a while back but now I have a lot more details on it. Here's the instructable I made: http://www.instructables.com/id/Touch-Sensitive-Super-Nintendo/" onclick="win...

Re: Arduino Based SNES emulator?

I don't know a ton about this topic, but I'd say an FPGA would be more practical. I don't think an arduino could handle everything. The NES has been cloned onto an FPGA a few times I think. Here is one of the FPGA NES clones: http://danstrother.com/fpga-nes/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return f...

CRT oscilloscope

It's not much but I just made an oscilloscope out of an old CRT monitor. I'll be trying it with a much larger CRT in the next couple of days. Pretty much all I had to do was hook up the horizontal deflection coil in place of the vertical deflection coil and then hook up my music to the vertical defl...

Cool. Just out of curiosity, are you an EE major?

Re: Project PSIO

Glad to see you got a prototype started! I really hope this project goes through! Are you using an FPGA board?

Re: Modded GBA, overclock and LED's

Very cool! I really like the LEDs. Did you manage to save the original oscillator so you could switch between normal speed and overclocked speed? I was going to do that when I overclocked my GBA, but I had to break the original oscillator just to get it off the board. Sometimes it's nice to have the...

Re: Approx price for a PS3p?

Did you make one? If did and you want to get it appraised, it would probably be best to show pictures. Price can really vary depending on how well it's put together and who is in the market to buy one. A PS3p with an HD screen and a CNC cut case is obviously going to go for a lot more than if someon...

Re: Do you guys have a lot of junk lying around?

Cool. If I get this box going around, you'll be first on the list. I'm beginning to think this box might be too big to ship though now that I've started adding more stuff. Maybe I'll break it up into a few boxes.

Do you guys have a lot of junk lying around?

I have tons and tons of junk electronics lying around. Most of it was brought home from thrift stores or garage sales with the intent of modding it somehow. I've always kept the stuff around just in case I have a project that I could use something for. I've been modding things a lot less now that I'...

Re: The Afternoon projects thread.

Found a 41" projection TV being thrown out. The first thing I noticed was that the power cord was cut off. I took it home and replaced the power cord. Now it works! Not really sure what to do with it though. I'd rather keep using my 27" HD flat screen than a low def 41" projection TV from 1997. I th...

Re: Project Hand held N64 - advance (HHN64-adv)

What you are describing kind of sounds like the 64drive made by marshallh. It can load games from a CF card.
http://64drive.retroactive.be/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't think it has save state support, but I'm guessing it could probably be added.
