Sigh, I suspected it.

Re: Wii U
Is it only me or does it remind to many of the N64 Portable or Snes Portables which can be found here? Im also curious about the price, especially for the controller, it looks much more expensive than a simple Wiimote+Nunchuk. Then Ive read they used a touchscreen like the DS, it even comes with a s...

Re: Started first SnesP (PAL Fullsize), now with Pics
Desoldered the cardslot today. Ripped off two connecting lines on the PCB :-( The cardslot and its pins are all perfect though. So Im going to buy a new SNES on ebay and cutting off all the pieces (with my dremel) which need to be desoldered. Then Ill desolder every single pin and get it out without...

Re: Started first SnesP (PAL Fullsize), now with Pics
YAY, progress! I finally did it. I added all the resistors between the RGB and sync line and the ground. Then i got a clear picture from my console to the screen. Connected sound too, and it works too. Now that I got the main connection, Ill look for the design of the case, and I will order some NES...

Re: Started first SnesP (PAL Fullsize), now with Pics
I tried again. Ive hooked up the PSOne to the Screen it came with and connected my old screen too. With SVideo, I got no image. With RGB I got a image although it was pretty greenish. So I tried again my SNES with RGB, but again, no image. After I followed one of bacterias links on his site, I tried...

Re: Started first SnesP (PAL Fullsize), now with Pics
Well, its been a while, but Im back on the project. Got distracted somehow... But yesterday I dusted off my soldering Iron and started again. Heres what I got so far. I have a second Redant screen, it came with a PSOne so I could test it was working before I fried it. Then I connected the old screen...

Measured the current consumption today: The Full Size PAL SNES (older model) draws 300mA (with gamemodule). My screen draws 800mA in PAL mode and 900mA in NTSC mode (without speakers and LED). Together they draw 1100mA. So powered the SNES by its own power supply (1000mA)and the screen by another po...

I was thinking about the current today. I think bacteria wrote the PAL SNES takes 1600mA. Since I power the SNES through the screen with a 1100mA power supply. Might that be to low? If I want to measure how much current the SNES and the screen consume I just put the multimeter in serial between the ...

I use a switchable power supply. It is set to 7.5V - 8.3V normally. Today I set it to 9V - 9.9V with now visible effect. I connected the RGB (with and without the sync) and used 47Ohm resistors for each line. The screen showed vertical lines which all disappeared quickly but one colered line. When I...

Ive included some pics in the previous posts... Ok I tried the SVideo input today: http://pht02.ph.funpic.de/SNESp/Screen_Connector_SVideo_Connected_01.jpg But with no result again. The screen again shows the horizontal and vertical lines: http://pht02.ph.funpic.de/SNESp/LCD_SVideo_Connected_02.jpg ...

Hehe, nope thats not it. Its connected through the power lines which comes from the screen. I also connected the ground from the video-plugs with each other with no effect. And I measured the connection between the grounds with the multimeter ;-) What I did wrong is: I tried to connect the composite...
