I just removed the expansion port of my SNES, but now I get no image. Anyone know what could be the problem?
The led still turns on, so I guess nothing happened to the fuse.
My TV detects there's a signal, but it just stays black.
Any suggestions are appreciated

Gba screen solder points
Does anyone know which points on the back of the GBA correspond with what pins of the 40 pin ribbon cable slot on the front? I have a multimeter, but the pins on the ribbon cable connector are too small to measure, and I can't find this information. Hope someone can help me out. Front side (ribbon c...

Re: Best combo clone?
Well, I own both the Retroduo and the FC3Plus. I know many here won't agree with me but if you are based in the US and have mainly NTSC games I would go for a FC3plus; it has better cartridge slots, the SNES game compatibility is VERY similar to the Retro Duo. (Compare the lists I linked below, Retr...

Re: The new GenCore
I just opened up my GenCore for a new project I'm working on and was amazed at how small the Genesis board is. Its exactly 10 X 5 cm (3,94 X 1,97 inch), the video board is 6 X 2 cm (2,36 X 0,79 inch). Such a tiny console and still a lot of space is wasted. This could make a really small portable if ...

Re: The new GenCore
Just to clear things up. There are 4 new systems. Hyperkin's systems GEN Mobile - Portable Genesis with cartridge port, 2.4 inch screen, and 20 built in Genesis games for around $60.00 http://www.hardwaresphere.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/genmobile-portable-genesis-gaming-handheld.jpg GEN Core - ...

Re: FC3plus SNES/NES/Genesis in 1 - Updated with pics &Comp.List
How big is the system itself? I was looking to make one using a spare NES, Super NES and Genesis. LENGTH: 21CM (8,25") WIDTH: 20CM (7,95") HEIGHT: 4CM (1,5") I don't think you can make a system of this size with the original hardware. However, you will have better PAL-compatibility, especially if y...

Re: FC3plus SNES/NES/Genesis in one - Updated with pics
@ Tibia, yeah the reversed buttons are annoying! @ themadhacker, I think that's possible, the controller ports are on the SNES board, the video output is on the NES board, but I think the composite signal comes from the 3 boards seperately. I don't understand why Yobo decided to region-lock the syst...

Re: FC3plus SNES/NES/Genesis in one?
System received.. Pictures of its guts will follow soon. - EDIT: They are in the main post of this thread First impressions: VERY small! The system is not entirely region free. Some of my PAL games don't work, others do however. The controller is very "clicky". But no problem, as I was gonna mod SNE...

Re: FC3plus SNES/NES/Genesis in one?
I know, but a SNES controller mod should fix that.XCVG wrote:The FC3 uses proprietory controllers, and not good ones either. The compromise controllers are OK for genesis but look like they would suck for SNES.

Re: FC3plus SNES/NES/Genesis in one?
Well I ordered one, the compatibility seems pretty good for a clone. Check this review:

SMRPG(SNES), Sonic and Knuckles(Genesis), and paperboy(NES) work.
Castlevania 3 and Rolling thunder do not work

It's looking great! I like your video updates, gives a better idea of the whole system.. Good luck with your website! I think it's a great idea.. You always go into a lot of detail, and too much information is so much better than a lack of it (like most sites). People can really learn of what you do...
