So in order to power the board, I should find a power adapter that roughly 12v and run it through the voltage regulator, (according to what I have read) should I pay attention to the Amps on the adapter or will the Voltage regulator compensate for it and give the board what it needs?

Hi everyone,
I know that the old NES model 1 uses 5 volts of power, but how many Amps does it need. I am currently modding one, and thinking of running it off USB power. Thanks.
