@HazmatB what the hell? what is your[sic] definition of bickering? I just thought eurddrue, mothatrucka, and you were not communicating well, and being quite childish with your comments. I suppose that is just my opinion though. Anyway, you say "My point was that simply wiring up larger RAM to the ...

I'm not sure weather that is what Gordon1 is proposing. My point was that simply wiring up larger RAM to the point on the board where the current RAM is, won't work. Will the N64 OS be smart enough to detect larger RAM? And if so, will the games take advantage of that? Maybe you would have to trick ...

Memory The N64 has a whole 4 megabytes of Rambus RDRAM memory. Yes, the same kind of overpriced memory that hit PCs years later. This stuff was unfortunately the fastest stuff Nintendo had to design with. Anyway, the capacity is 36MBits. Why not 32MBits? Because there is an extra bit on each byte f...

Flexibility of 12V line
I know that the 3.3V line is very sensitive, especially in the older revisions of the N64. However, I also know that the 12V line goes into a 7805. What I am wondering is, how flexible is this line? Could I give it anywhere from 5V - 12V, or is the minimum like 8V?
Thanks,
HazB

According to the spec sheets of most protection circuits I have seen it warns against charging and discharging Lithium batteries at the same time. Though I have played my SNES V1 (which has lithium) and charged it at the same time with no ill effects. I have read this before, so I was wondering if ...
