well I guess that's that. I can't get this thing operational without a motherboard, so i'm going to take some time and perfect the case. Money's tight, so I'll be able to set everything up and then hopefully one day I can buy a new motherboard and finish it.

CRAP

I've fried the ps1 motherboard for the third time. I had everything plugged in and working just fine, all of the controls were cool, and then I wired in the memory card and the board got fried.

How could the memory card fry the ps1?

I figured it all out with the controller I think. My only concern is the case getting too thick, the playmad was about 2 or 3 inches wider than mine. I actually have the screen itself sitting about an inch above the screen's board so that I can fit the controls so close to the screen. The control pa...

oi. I have spent about 20 ridiculous accumalitive hours trying to solder the 16 little connections on my psone controller. (the one ben suggests in his book) I have another controller that is very suitable for soldering connections on various parts of the controller board. Now my only problem is tha...

Yeah, I think it would be good for the community too. I think I will do this. It will take me a little while though.

My only problem with doing a bunch of work to catalog this sort of thing on that wiki, is there's no guarantee that the site wont simply go down someday and I'll lose all of my work.

I also didn't notice any category for what i'm talking about on the wiki. Is that something that can be added?

I'm not talking about a portables how to or information wiki, just a site with pictures and descriptions of mods and that includes portables. Kind of like hack a day, but quite a bit centered around video games. There's a lot of sites out there that do this sort of thing, but not a lot of them catal...

If you've made a portable or a cool mod project...

I have a severe love for modding. I am looking at making a website that will catalog mods that I have found online, with credt to the modder if possible. Kind of an encyclopedia of modding. Maybe a wiki? If anyone is interested in having their portable or mod project forever immortalized on the inte...

Unfortunately disaster has struck. One of my psp sticks broke and I have decided that they are cheap as S@*# and I don't want anything to do with them. So ps2 mini analog sticks it is. They aren't really smaller, but the ones I selected were mostly metal in construction and the sticks with some alte...

[/quote] I dont really use most of my portables, and the more I sell the more I make :D I am really more interested in making snesps for sale though I may just have to make one first to show what is available, I am hoping to make a very simple vac formed portrait snesp with a Gameboy style cart slot...
