Re: im the worst solderer on the earth
Once I wasn't paying attention and the soldering iron fell onto the laminate floor, burnt a hole in it. I also managed to touch the tip of it, thinking it was cold because I unplugged it. Turns out one of my brother plugged it back in because they thought the dog accidentaly unplugged it and they sa...

Re: NEs Controller to Rs232 port/USB
I think since this my thread, and I'm actually working on my NES PC right now, and I have enough soldering experience now to make a programmer (also I'm going to uni and chose a digital electronics course). What's the best way to hook up the nes controller ports to USB. I wanna finish up the ports b...

Re: Free NES 72 pin cartridge connectors
I'll take one. I have 3 NESes...and all 3 have bad cart connectors. I even broke the pins on one of them....and I already did the bending of the pins to them like 5 years ago...Also I could use one when I make my NESP...but with no Noacs....
one is fine...2 if you have enough.

Re: GB Cart connector to PC
You could also send it someone who has a transferer of some kind and let them back it up for you, if you dare. I could possibly do it, but you're probably on the wrong continent compared to me, and it feels unnecessary to ship two artridges over the Atlantic. (I live in Sweden) Yup. I think I'd rat...

Re: GB Cart connector to PC
What games are you looking to preserve? If you are wanting to backup the pokemon games, you have two easy options: 1. Buy pokemon stadium 2, it does not use a battery for saving your pokemon. Just swap them over, or clone them, then swap. Sure, you may lose your save game, but your pokemon will be ...

I looked at that, and it is much cheaper for me to build one then to buy one. Plus shipping prices are so freaking huge to Canada for some reason...

Re: GB Cart connector to PC
I know those things could work, but I'd like to make one myself. I have all the needed tools cept for the breadboard, the cart connector and whatever PICs I'll need. And Brainboys were unreliable. My friend had one, destroyed all his saves. Gave it back to the store and got himself a gameshark.

GB Cart connector to PC
Ok. I want to plug my GB and GBC games into my computer so I can copy the save file. Once a battery dies your save is dead, which sucks for pokemon games. And I see a commercial product that can do that for me, but for 40 pounds....UM no. Not with conversion to cad and not with shipping involved. No...

Re: gamecube DOL-101 USA disk problem
So what makes it read games better/more likely to read, a higher or lower value? I've never had my GC read a game (it was $8). :( lower, you're lowering the pot so the laser is stronger. From what I believe, the laser weakens over time and then it can't read GC games properly. Same thing happens to...

Re: Skyone's Video Game Blowout! [PS2 SLIMS SOLD OUT!]
I dunno what you would use to send it, but USPS or whatver wants 10.90 for a small box, I doubt an SNES will fit in that. The other option is 25 bucks which is like 30 bucks CAD. So I'm sorry but I'll have to decline. I'll keep bargain hunting locally for one I guess.

Re: gamecube DOL-101 USA disk problem
I had saved that pic off of the internet years ago and never actually tested it. I was just trying to help. If thats too high then whats a good value? There is no "Golden Value". Just keep it between 80-650 and obviously stop tweaking it once it works  If you don't have a modchip there is no r...
