Re: 3.5'' Gameboy drive for computer?
Well first off, I guess I would like to do it becasue how many people could ever say they have a 3.5'' drive gameboy? Well, people who put their roms on a microSD card can say they have a 0.35'' gameboy. But anyway, palmertech's pretty much correct. There is a fourth option, which is probably going...

Re: Premade battery compartments from OKW
Those are pretty cool, but....
~$20 for a battery compartment? Gah!
I guess I'm just too cheap for that.

If you're using a PC in the cabinet, you don't need a special part or anything. Just use Joy2Key. http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm It's excellent. As long as your controllers have a D-Pad and at least eight or so buttons, you should be fine. You want at least six...

Yeah, if you want perfect accuracy, I think FCEUX is considered to be one of the most accurate. But really, NES emulation is so mature that almost all of the major emulators can be pretty much 100% accurate. I prefer Nestopia, because it has the Hq4x graphics filter. Try it. It's gorgeous . It's obv...

Do you mean thin enough or "thin enough"? There is a distinct difference on this site, most people settling for the fairly terrible latter. Yes, do you mean "reasonably thin," or "just thin enough that I can lift it off the ground when I'm playing it?" Anyway, you're probably not going to be able t...

So the hard drive should work if it's normal USB Mass ...

This sounds like a very cool idea. I had been pondering doing something like this, but eventually I decided that I might as well just spend a similar amount of money on an Xbox 360. But anyway, that sounds like a good plan. I do have one interesting thought: I have heard that Compact Flash cards use...

All I ever use is a 15 watt and I don't have any problems. Maybe it's technique? Yes, after seeing your work I would say that it's probably just your mad skills. I have a cheap 50W (I think) iron with an analog adjustable temperature control, and using it when it's set to anything less that ~70-80%...

Re: Xbox/GC analog stick on DC controller?
I just got a DC recently, and I love it to death, but I don't find the standard hard-plastic control stick to be very comfortable to use. Is there any way to replace the analog stick on the DC with that from a GC or Xbox controller? Well, I had heard that you can replace a PS2 controller's analog s...

so what exactly are considered harsh conditions for Li-Ions? Note that you never really see Li-ions used in power drills/screwdrivers or other such heavy-duty battery-powered tools. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess that the heat produced by the friction of the bit through something combined wit...
