well, its hard to escape the fact that, at their core, guns were designed to kill Yes and no, my Anschutz 1814 (model number not year) is a target rifle, for use in that sport, period. Quite frankly, it would make a terrible weapon or hunting implement, it is much to large, much to slow, much, much...

How hard were the CRT projectors to setup? I have read they are a real PITA to calibrate, and need to be recalibrated on a regular basis.

My hair did a similar thing when I had it long, slightly curly and lots volume but didn't get long enough to manage very quickly. All I managed to figure out to keep it neat was a hat, then bandanna + hat, then eventually back to just a hat when it was a little longer, and then ponytail + hat when i...

Well he already displayed a marked dislike for GNU/Linux, so I was left to assume he either favored a BSD variant or another non-certified system, or a system that adhered to a a present or past UNIX(R) System specification.

I am curious as what you consider "the beginning - *Nix", could you specify?

PS: not being sarcastic, just curious as I'm constantly swapping out OS's just to try something new.

Personally, I'd duct tape it to a big piece of white paper, take it down to the range and feed a box of cheap .22 lr one by one, just make sure to observe proper safety precautions. As an aside, the only good iPod is the Mini, mostly because you can open them up with out damaging them, and replace t...

In the same line (CECT) is an updated GSM version of a 1980s "brick" style phone called the " Motelona 158x ". The nifty part is that ll that leftover space is used for a 4800MaH battery, so its rated a 8 hours talk and 2 weeks stand by time. They also make a phone dubbed " AK-47 ", with an even lar...

I have a Nokia 2600. It has no camera. And I like it that way, because phones are for calling people ! It's bad enough that it does text messaging and all that BS nobody really needs... That's what I really liked about my old phone. It was just a phone , and it did everything you need a phone to do...

Yep, that's the sound.

Unfortunately, no combination of PRAM battery, its single stick of RAM and two sticks of VRAM I have tried thus far have gotten it to boot. I've also removed the hard disk drive, to no avail.

Performa 575: no video?

I recently picked up a Apple Performa 575 from my school's dump heap. When I turn it on, it plays the genreic Mac "on noise", plays a short series of musical tones, starts the hard drive and then just sits there with monitor turned off (not black, off). I went for the obvious and replaced the old 4....
