PC Mod

I've been working with an old HP laptop that broke a while back, and I am trying to make a small computer that can either be used as a sort of "book reader/graphics pad", or used to look at pictures. Here are my questions/ideas: Do I keep the fans/heatsinks? --It is a very light-weight platform. Sim...

What I mean by screen space is not having windows overlap and having space to do as I'd like without constantly going to the startbar, etc. I am us...

Screen Realestate

Does anyone know of some ways to get more screen space?

Im currently using launchy, objecdock, and a customized firefox. Any other tips?

Also, does anyone know the extension for windows that lets you press a button so you can shift from one screen to another (dual display)?

thanks!

LOL More questions and less answers.

Hey everyone, I've decided to name myself "The PC Assassin" because I always seem to mess something up with a computer. My other laptop is COMPLETELY fried, and I'm getting a new one hopefully tomorrow. My dilemma is RAM. I need 2 2gb ddr2 "cards" and I need them cheap, lol. Could anyone help me her...

Is there any way to transfer a removed harddrive of a laptop to another laptop? Without removing the other drive?

Also, is there anyway to transfer an itunes library using itunes?

Well the other day I unplugged it abruptly (as usual) and when I returned and plugged it in...nothing...nothing at all. The drive shows up with a different name (was named "Omega" now shows up...

^^I am pretty sure they still make it. You could contact HP or someone and ask them. I think they use some pressurized glue spray type of deal that doesn't actually stay sticky on top, but when you touch it you touch a lower layer that is still sticky (if that makes sense).

Actually, there are six images and a small box below them. The images refer to parts of my site, but they make no sense without the text in the box below. Basically when you mouseover a box, the small box at the bottom changes from "Mouse over a section" to "Guides", "Online", or "Tournaments", etc....

Well I have a problem. The power plug on the mobo isn't sold separately (at least to my knowledge). It is a foxconn 3aaba piece, and I can't find it anywhere. I was told to buy an entire mobo by two places, but I only want one little component...any ideas?
