Re: BenHeck Forums are back!!!

Obligatory post in the most active thread of the last few years. I miss the good ol' days. Sorting the memberlist by post count and looking at the usernames on the first few pages takes me back.

Re: Hmm. Howdy!

Pretty accurate account of what happened. I would like to add is that there was usually a lot of butthurt that caused or help fuel each new site, but that's in the past and specifics are better left undiscussed. In my opinion, BH was already slowing down when MR started. Many of the original or very...

Re: Disable web cam LED on laptop?

You can probably just remove the LED and that'll be it. I doubt it'll effect anything.

Re: Pelteir in 360 water cooling systme?

You still need a heatsink on the hot side. A peltier cooler works by transferring heat from one side to the other, pretty much a solid state AC or fridge. A regular fan and heatsink (or watercooling setup, for that matter) can only get as cool as the ambient air temperature. A peltier can make the c...

That switch should do the job, if you can live without a toggle switch.

Why not just run it off the N64's power? You have 3.3v and 12v to work with (and 5v, but I'm not sure how the 7805 would like providing more power).

In your situation, its watts. So divide out the 12v and you get a bit under an amp, which is a bit under 1000 milliamps.

Re: RC Drone

Sweet, I've been watching your progress on Facebook, glad it turned out good (what happened to the Arduino?). I think if you elevated the camera and moved it to the back, it would be easier to see and drive it just using the camera. Even if the car was just barely in the picture, the reference would...

Re: Steam Punk PS3 Laptop or Ordinary PS3 Laptop

You want to sell that one for $4000? That's about what some of Ben's sell for, and, no offense, they look much better. You could probably get $1000 off that one, but to bring in $4000, it needs to scream greatness.

Nice! I've always thought of doing one, but just using an existing case and cut a hole in the side for the LCD.

Re: how much would you buy this for?

What model is the CPU? I would try to sell it locally first, shipping a desktop costs $$$. I would guess you could get $500 out of it, depending on the CPU.

Re: linear or exponential?

Its linear. Your speedometer is showing about 20% higher than actual speed. To get your actual speed, multiple the speedo speed by 0.83 (according to the numbers you gave, should at least get you in the neighborhood). That means you were really going 183kph (113MPH) at 220kph (137MPH). 220kph, while...

Re: who shound i need to report to if i get people trolling me?

Instead of crying about it, just take their advice and improve. I can barely read your train wrecks that you try to pass off as English. Instead of saying "boo hoo, they said I'm a terrible speller", just try to make posts that people can understand. Its not difficult. If you can't at least make an ...
