Okay so, Marshall is awesome, and he was able to compile a new XSVF file that worked properly with the USB JTAG program. The solution was pretty much exactly as GreenGiant said... Technically, if you solder an IDE connector onto the board, shouldn't people be able choose whether or not they want to connect a hdd or a CF adaptor/converter via a ribbon cable? I'd think that would be the way to go, so that the CF slot can be mounted externally if we wanted to be able to swap out...

Uggh, I think I finally shook the NNN. Had to cover most of Europe and Asia to lose them. It was close. There are SOOO many of them. I actually heard that the shortage of Nintendo Wii's was due to Nintendo spending so much money to hire so many NNN to hunt us down for working on this project. Crazy....
