I bought a Genesis the other day, and opened it up this morning to find these wires in it. Any idea what their purpsoe is?

-EDIT- I should have clarified...These are -OLD- displays... 640x480 Monochrome VGA screens according to the specs sheet. I'm not so sure they're laptop displays... I copied down the pinout though... LCD help (Sharp LM64148Z)
I picked up 3 of these... They claim to be VGA and have a 16-pin connector on the ribbon cable.. If I connected the right pins, would a standard VGA connector run this, or would I need some sort of controller? If more info is needed I can scan the spec sheet and take pictures of the screens themselv...

Quick FB2 question about cutting board...
Pictured is an unmodified FB2 (thus far) that I need to shave down ever-so-slightly to fit my project case. Hip Gear Screen power requirement and pinouts.
I got a PS2 Hip Gear recently but no Ac adaptor. I need to know what sort of power requirements it has so I can run it as part of a portable. I think someone said it has a 7808 regulator, so would it run off of a USB rail?
