Genius!
OhmyGod! @myersn024. You have done a good job at showing the right way to do it however for some people like me and 'deiol', luck isnt with us! I think the world is really small. I got an Emerson Portable 2 screen DVD player with 7'' inch screens! (9.7V-25W) I opened them up, my first priority was t...

You are absolutely right about the nicer look, but the input is RGBinp instead of the standard PS2's composite. There are so many screens out there which might have a composite input , instead of hacking a PSone screen(RGBinp). Or maybe its just cheap and easy to build, or just maybe its not easy to...

Got IT!
Well, here is a site I came accross from mp3car.com . May be helpful. http://mpro.no-ip.com/lcd2.htm Here the VGA 12 pin connector can be connected directly connected to the inputs of the LCD but NOT the composite video input of the LCD. So for this we have to open up the screen :) As some have poin...

lol, I guess Ill stick to the converter, thanks a lot though! Basically, having an LCD lying arround is fruitful, but not enough if it cant accept VGA inp. I can use it as a second screen at home though:) connect it to my PC Video card's composite outp or use it as a portable game console monitor. B...

VGA connector to Composite video!
Well, this must be there somewhere, but cannot find the exact thing I am looking for :) So I am presenting this wierd thought provoking idea... You know you PC has a VGA(Video Graphics Array) connector output to your LCD screen (the 15pin) and many of salvaged LCd's use the composite video input. So...

Wow, I aplaud you for this one! Its a daunting task! I was stuck yesterday trying to interface an adc0832 to basic stamp but crappy noise gave me all random crap 0/1's. anyway, if you plan to tap into the display IC then you could try interfacing it directly with an IC of an LCD of another bigger sc...
