AEI Components are good, Ben uses them for his portables. They're not exactly cheap, but they do lots of sizes and specifications, run off 12V and require very little hacking. The LED backlit 3.5" screen is $104, the 4" one goes for $198. Hope that's helpful

Guess who's back, back again, TOOHF's back, tell a friend! Thanks for your PM Rain, what with college and exams I haven't really been frequenting the forums much at all, meaning I'd completely forgotten about this (shame on me! :P) and missed an extra 15 pages or so of enthusiasm and ramblings...

Jesus, I wish I had your funds :) That processor is immense, just looking at the comments, seems some people have got it up to 4Ghz plus  As for a power supply, I'd recommend either the Enermax Galaxy 1000 Watt supply ( here ) or the Antec TruePower Quattro 850 Watt ( here ), they'll both giv...
Nice set up, you could get a Q6600, it's the cheapest quad-core processor out there at the moment (I think). If you buy the G0 stepping, you can overclock it to 3.4Ghz plus just with an air cooler, so for the money, it's pretty awesome. It depends what you want to do with your system, your set up at...
The 98GTX's codename is G94, the codename for the 8800 GTS is G92, meaning they come from the same production line, and are to all intents and purposes from the same family of GPUs. Like Rekarp said, the architecture is the same, but the core and the stream processors run faster. If you want to play...

The 9800GTX is essentially a clock-tweaked 512mb 8800 GTS (the new model, not the old 320 and 640mb versions), so it's pretty underpowered for the price. The GX2 on the other hand is a monstrously fast card, but it's absolutely huge, power hungry and hot running. Often they will overheat and crash i...

Death Cab for Cutie The Postal Service The Shins The Decemberists All of the above are sort of chill-out I can second Enter Shikari, I've seen them live twice, they were absolutely mental. Extreme_Jesus missed Capdown, The King Blues and Sonic Boom Six off his ska list :P And I'd wholly recommend Dr...
